Our New School Values

During the Summer 2016, we revisited our school values.  The whole school community (staff, pupils and parents) were asked which values they thought were the most important.  As a result of this the following 6 values were agreed upon:

  • Responsibility
  • Teamwork
  • Kindness
  • Perseverance
  • Respect
  • Honesty

Values Day

In September 2016, we held a Values Week! Our new values were launched and then each class spent the week focusing on the values. In the afternoon we shared our wonderful work.  Have a look below:

Each month we ask the children to think about the values at home with the people they live with.  An information sheet, with activities and points to discuss, is sent home. The children are asked to complete a task with their family and a home - school challenge.  Families are also asked to keep a record of when their child has demonstrated this term's value outside of school; this is what we call our Values in Action. The children who complete the challenge and/or record their values in action are awarded a certificate and earn 3 merits for their house!

During Values week, we also designed our own Values Logo. The school council then decided on the winner. See below.
