In order to comply with the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Education, pupils are allocated places in the Preparatory or Senior School in the appropriate Year Group for their age. Only in exceptional circumstances will the relevant Headmaster agree to place a child in a Year Group which does not match his or her age. When such agreement has been reached, parents must undertake to sign an indemnity with the School and they must also obtain the agreement of the Ministry of Education before the child can start school.

Parents seeking a place for a child who has not previously been educated in a British curriculum school should refer to the Ministry of Education equivalency chart, so that they understand which is the appropriate Year Group for their son or daughter.
